In Spring 2010 the Estate installed a biomass boiler which provides heat and hot water to the principal farm house, Estate Office and four houses on the Estate. It is powered by woodchip sourced from the Estate’s woodlands and means that oil-fired boilers that had previously been needed are no longer required.
